Root canal treatment (Endodontics) :
is a dental speciality that deals with diseases of the dental nerve and its surrounding structure. An endondontist is also experienced in treating oral and facial pain.

Why Would I need root canal treatment
In case of pulp inflammation and infection, you need to do RCT
Most common reasons for inflammation or infection are :
1- Deep cavities (caries).
2- Repeated dental procedures for the same tooth .
3- Trauma may cause inflammation and it shows up as discoloration of the tooth.
* Untreated inflammation or infection, it may cause pain or dental abscess formation and other serious problems

Inlays and onlays :
When the tooth has large decay (caries) in which the usage of dental filling can’t take place because it can’t restore what is already missed from the tooth structure.

On the contrary, we still dont want to remove more of the tooth structure and make a crown for the tooth, therefore, we recommend the use of inlays and onlays , as its preparation design has much more conservative to the tooth structure . We use a tooth-colored materials that fit perfectly in the damaged part of your tooth and prtotect it from further damage . For more details about technologies use in our clinic plz click here

In our conservative dentistry clinic we use white fillings to restore teeth after decay removal. The procedure’s outcome will blend in seamlessly with the rest the tooth structure as we choose a wide range of tooth colored shades.

Small to medium cavities are typically repaired with dental fillings, which can effectively strengthen the structure of the teeth and prevent further tooth damage.

Dr. Alsalem and his associates serve the community in Amman city and has over 15 years of experience placing tooth-colored fillings.

White fillings are comprised of a high-grade composite resin material. These restorations offer numerous health-related benefited such as being minimally invasive, biocompatible and very effective for strengthening the tooth.

On the other hand they also offer aesthetic related benefits such as being more cosmetically pleasing than the use of silver fillings (amalgam) and can be considered as virtually invisible when using it in an artistic way in the front teeth as we use multiple shades and different translucencies to mimic the natural color of your teeth.

To determine if a dental filling is the right treatment option for you, our doctors will perform a comprehensive clinical and radiographic examination.

X-rays and scans will also be taken to evaluate the extent of the decay to determine that a filling is appropriate for the particular tooth or it needs a more complex solution. If a dental filling is the choice then the treatment will include five steps:

– Making you numb: Unless the cavity is extremely small, local anesthesia will be administered to numb the tooth and the surrounding gum tissue to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

– Cleaning the decay and tooth preparation to ensure a proper bond of the white restoration.

Placement of Filling: The soft and easily condensed composite resin will be applied to fill in the space behind by the cavity.

– Light Curing: Once the filling is in place, it will be hardened with the use of a special dental curing light. The system that we use in our center is one of the best light curing devices (VALO, ultra dent) and is considered one of one of 5 absolute best choices as listed in the dental product report magazine

– Final Adjustments: Your new filling will be carefully shaped and molded to fit precisely with your bite. Any roughness or sharpe edges will be smoothed out, and final polishing will be made.

Routine dental checks-ups are recommended every six months to follow up what you have done and to routine cleaning.
